FBC Alumnae (Senior Taylor Jeffers and Freshman Shalette Brown) playing exceptionally well as Montclair State rolls to 6-0 start!

Montclair, NJ – Sophomore forward Melissa Tobie (Elizabeth, NJ, Roselle Catholic) scored a game-high 18 points to lead Montclair State University to an easy 61-40 victory over Ramapo College in a matchup of two unbeaten New Jersey Athletic Conference teams on Wednesday evening at the Panzer Athletic Center.

Tobie, who scored 15 of her points in the first half, got help from senior forward Taylor Jeffers (Franklin Township, NJ, Franklin) and freshman guard Shalette Brown (Somerset, NJ, Franklin Township), who added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for MSU, which improved its record to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the NJAC.

This is best start for Montclair State since the Red Hawks won their first nine games of the 2003-04 season.
MSU, now 44-9 all-time against Ramapo, won for the 11th time in the last 13 meetings between the two schools.
