MADISON, N.J. — FDU-Florham women’s basketball junior forward Shalette Brown (Somerset, N.J.) was named All-Atlantic Region First Team and senior forward Kyra Dayon (Trenton, N.J.) received All-Atlantic Region Second Team honors as announced by on Monday afternoon.

The Devils (29-2) recently completed another outstanding season, which concluded last Saturday night at Tufts University in the NCAA Tournament “Elite 8”.

This is the first All-Region nod for Brown, who set a new school single-season rebounding record in 2015 by hauling in 333 boards. In addition, the junior forward led the Devils in scoring at 13.2 points per game and steals with 91. The All-Freedom Conference first teamer has now amassed 633 rebounds in just two seasons with the team.

Dayon, the school’s all-time leading rebounder (874), was the All-Region Player of the Year last season while leading the team to its first-ever NCAA National Championship. The four-year phenom ranks at the top of most categories in FDU-Florham history, including first in field goals made (695), first in steals (335), second in points (1,799), fourth in free throws made (315), fourth in three-point field goal percentage (34.6%), and fifth in assists (327). This season, Dayon shot 46.3 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from long-range, which are both career-bests.
