Brown and Dayon Receive WBCA DIII Coaches’ All-America Team Honors

MADISON, N.J. – Following an exceptional season by the FDU-Florham women’s basketball team, standout junior forward Shalette Brown (Somerset, N.J.) was named to the 2015 WBCA Division III Coaches’ All-America Team, while senior forward Kyra Dayon (Trenton, N.J.) received honorable mention as announced by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Thursday evening.

Brown was a dominant force to be reckoned with all season in the paint on both sides of the ball. She showed great versatility with her ability to score in the low post, knock down the mid range jumper and reel in double digit rebounds regularly. She broke the school’s single season rebounding record with 333 boards this season. The All-Freedom Conference first team member amassed 11 double-doubles on the year while also leading the team in scoring with 13.2 points per game.
