Brown Earns MAC Freedom Player of the Week Honors
ANNVILLE, Pa. — Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham women’s basketball senior forward Shalette Brown earned her third Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Player of the Week honor this season as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
It’s been a record-setting month for Brown, who became the Devils’ all-time leader in rebounds last week after leading FDU-Florham to a 2-0 week in conference action. In just three-seasons and 81 games, Brown has amassed the record-setting 879 rebounds. Earlier this month, the senior forward became the 15th women’s basketball player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point career scoring mark.
This week, Brown scored 23 points with 20 rebounds, four steals and an assist in a 67-58 win over Delaware Valley University. She then proceeded to score 17 points with 19 rebounds, three steals, three assists and one blocked shot in the Devils’ 78-62 at Wilkes University.
The Devils return to action with a home conference game against Manhattanville College this Wednesday, January 27 at 6:00 p.m.
