Brown Named ECAC Player of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. – Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham women’s basketball standout senior Shalette Brown was named Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro Region Player of the Week as announced on Tuesday.

Brown, who was named MAC Freedom Player of the Week on Monday, became the Devils’ all-time leader in rebounds last week after leading FDU-Florham to a 2-0 week in conference action. In just three-seasons and 81 games, Brown has amassed  a new school record 879 rebounds. Additionally, earlier this month, the senior forward became the 15th women’s basketball player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point career scoring mark.

This week, Brown scored 23 points with 20 rebounds, four steals and an assist in a 67-58 win over Delaware Valley University. She then proceeded to score 17 points with 19 rebounds, three steals, three assists and one blocked shot in the Devils’ 78-62 at Wilkes University.

The Devils return to action with a home conference game against Manhattanville College this Wednesday, January 27 at 6:00 p.m.
