Super sensation Qiana Vigo is making an immediate impact at her new school (The Hill School, PA).

First Qiana served notice that she would be a difference maker as she demonstrated her travel club’s motto…”Show Up & Show Out”.

Hill Invitational Tournament (12/2-3)
Having defeated Perkiomen in the first round, the Lady Blues returned to their home court to play Springside Chestnut Hill for the Hill Invitational championship.  The Blues came out with a fast start leading the Blue Devils 26-16 at the half following a strong shooting performance by Qiana Vigo (’19) and a stellar defensive effort from Kelly Ebner (’17), Kathryn Dunn (’17) and Alexa Giacche (’19).  Despite key shots from Bridget Mayza (’18) and Maia Lockhart (’18), SCH was able to close to the gap, eventually taking the lead in the fourth quarter.  A Vigo jump shot sealed the 48-46 victory for Hill with a scant 8 seconds left in the game.

Vigo led all scorers with 22 points with Ebner chipping in 10 points, including 4 for 4 from the line in the fourth quarter.  Dunn was named to the All-Tournament Team, while Vigo was named Tournament MVP.

She Got Game Classic in Washington, D.C. (12/10-11)
In the second contest at the She Got Game Classic in Washington, D.C., Hill Girls’ Basketball pulled out a victory against a very competitive Institute of Notre Dame (MD) team, 48-44.  Hill had strong first half performances from Kelly Ebner ’17 and Alexa Giacche ’19, and received a great spark off the bench from Hannah Delahaye ’20, who hit a huge three late in the second quarter.  Leading 22-13 at the half, the Lady Rams were outscored 18-9 in the third quarter. Fortunately, Hill was able to weather this surge in the fourth quarter, connecting on 8 out of 12 foul shots, including seven from Qiana Vigo ‘19.  Vigo led Hill in scoring with 18 points and was selected game MVP by the tournament officials.   Giacche contributing another solid performance of 11 points and Delahaye chipping in 7 points.  The Blues also saw quality minutes from Stephanie Percy ’19 and Maia Lockhart ’18.

The 5-0 Lady Rams will be on the road again next weekend as they participate in the 37th Annual Bullis Holiday Classic in Potomac, MD.  Go Hill!
