A Quick Look At The Defenders…

FBC Defenders is a girls basketball program founded in 1999 and rich in traditions. Founded by John and Brenda Stone for the express purpose of providing girls an environment for developing their skills and pursuing their dream of playing college basketball. Over the years the program has produced several 1,000 point scorers (Lauren Staats, Danielle Brown, Jacinda Dunbar, Jasmine Walker, Shalette Brown, Jada Atchison…just to name a few). Our players compete at all levels of college basketball from Division 1 to JUCO and are successful because of the experiences gained from the program and it’s staff. There have been 3 players who have played in national championship games at the collegiate level (Jen Nnanna – 2006 Division II Runnerup, Shalette Brown & Alyssa McDonough – 2014 Division III National Champions).
