Dunbar Posts Double-Double For Quinnipiac University in NEC Conference

Freshman Brittany McQuain (Independejacinda2011nce, Mo.) and junior Jacinda Dunbar (Edison, N.J.) each posted a double-double, but the Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team fell to Central Connecticut State, 61-58, in a Northeast Conference match-up on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 9-6 in conference play, while the Blue Devils improve to 9-6 in the NEC. Full Story

Lytle Erupts for 33pts and 23 rebounds!

It takes more than one player to win a basketball game, but Jasmine Lytle certainly came close. Despite outscoring the entire Sayreville High School girls basketball team 18-16 in the first half Tuesday night, the New Brunswick High School senior forward needed a boost from a teammate down the stretch.

“She’s a great player, and it’s hard to win games when a girl scores almost as much as your entire team does” Sayreville coach Tara Currie said of Lytle. “She’s an animal who lives off the boards, and we didn’t achieve our goal in limiting her.”  Read More; Jasmine Lytle

Congratulations Defenders 16U Team!

Hello FBC Defenders Family! On May 24th 2009 at approximately 3 p.m. the FBC Defenders 16U team was crowned pool champions at the Tom Dowd Memorial tournament in Central Valley! The Defenders defeated the Triple Threat (NY), OC Elite, and host Crusaders to capture the crown.  Please join me in congratulating players, coaches, family and friends!
